The goal of this project was to incorporate a physical, hands-on process with digital processes to translate a finished piece. This approach encouraged experimentation and pushed beyond the comfort zone of purely digital design. The letterforms were created by breaking ceramic plates, sorting the fragments by size, and assembling them into a mosaic-like composition to form each character.
